Bike mechanic at home in Amsterdam

At a regular bike shop, you drop off your bike and collect it later. A mobile mechanic reverses that. Book online, choose a time and the mechanic comes to you.

When booking, enter your postcode, make and model and describe the work needed. You see the price and available times before confirming, so the mechanic knows which parts to bring. They do the work at your door and discuss anything else they notice. You pay afterwards.

You choose the address. Many customers have their bike checked at home, but work is just as convenient: the mechanic services it while you work.

The bike must be accessible. If it is outside your door, the mechanic can start immediately. If it is in a bike store, shed or basement, arrange for someone to let the mechanic in, or put it outside in advance. Tell us where the bike is and how to reach you when booking. We call or message before doing extra work.

The cargo bike is a mobile workshop, carrying tools for brakes, tyres and drivetrain maintenance, plus lubricant, contact spray and wax. We bring the parts you select when booking, such as an inner tube or brake pads for your model.

That is why we ask for your make and model in advance. Parts that do not fit your bike are no use to anyone.

We are clear about our service: e-bike maintenance, rather than a general bike shop. We work on Cowboy, Tenways, Veloretti and VanMoof. The booking form shows the supported models.

We are not the right service for an ordinary city bike, cargo bike or road bike. For e-bikes, we handle mechanical work: periodic maintenance, tyres and inner tubes, brake pads, brake bleeding, belts or chains and adjustment. We do not repair motors, batteries, displays or other electronics.

We enter the ring in Amsterdam, including in the Centrum, de Jordaan, De Pijp, Oud-West, De Baarsjes, Oost en Zuid. The border is a distance, no neighborhood name: up to 3 km from the Rijksmuseum you do not pay a travel fee, from 3 to 6 km, and over 6 km booking is not possible. We do not do Amsterdam-Noord. The zipcode check in the booking form tells you in a few seconds where your address is covered.

There is no separate travel charge: it is included in the fixed visit price.

An exact arrival time costs €7,50. A wider time window is free.

Every visit starts with the same turn, even if you only book for a flat tyre. The mechanic tracks the brakes, tires, bolts and lighting, cleans the belt or chain and lubricates it, and finishes it with contact spray, silicone spray and wax. Then he does the work you booked. If he encounters something that was not agreed, you first hear what it costs. Additional work is €25,00 every 30 minutes and only happens with your agreement.

A mobile mechanic is useful for work that can be done on the pavement: periodic maintenance, a tyre, brake pads or brake bleeding. You keep your bike at home and do not need to travel.
