Cowboy bicycle maintenance at home in Amsterdam

During maintenance, we check and care for your bike using our checklist:

New parts and brake bleeding are not included in the base price. We discuss wear, suitable parts and the price before carrying out extra work.

The Cowboy maintenance costs €45,00 . Driving and VAT are already included. If you live 3 to 6 km from the Rijksmuseum, you will receive a travel fee and pay your €60,00. Spare parts have fixed prices: brake pads €24,00 per side, brakes bleed €30,00 per brake, an inner tube €15,00 and a Gates CDX belt €94,99 . An example: a maintenance service when we bleed both brakes from your C4 costs €105,00. You choose parts in advance in the booking form, or you decide on the spot after the mechanic's advice. Nothing will be replaced without your agreement on the price.

We service the C2, C3, C4, Classic, Cruiser, Cruiser ST and Cross. The service is the same for each model, with extra attention to a few points:

- C4 and Cruiser: hydraulic brakes. If a lever feels soft or pulls back too far, mention it when booking. The mechanic can assess the brake and discuss bleeding if needed. - Cruiser and Cruiser ST: the seatpost can gradually slip while riding. We clean the post and clamp and secure it again. - C3: tyre size. The C3 uses narrower tyres than later models, so select the correct model for tyre replacement.

Choose your model when booking so the mechanic knows which pads and tyres fit.

Each Cowboy has a belt instead of a chain. A belt collects sand and dirt like a chain. During maintenance we clean it and see if it is worn or damaged. If the belt is needed to replace it, you can choose a Gates CDX belt for €94,99 . Choose it when booking, then the mechanic will take it with you.

We don't mention a fixed number of months or kilometres, because that varies by model and by use. Follow the maintenance schedule of the manufacturer. In addition, there are signals where you shouldn't wait: - The brake lever feels spongy or comes far to the steering wheel - The brakes squeak or sanding - The profile of a tyre is gone, or you have to pump up more and more often - The seatpost drops while driving - Something that was silent at first Report what you notice. Then the mechanic can bring the right parts.

Maintenance is mechanical work. Engine failures, battery problems, the step sensor, the display, the app and other electronics are excluded. We also do not diagnose this. If you give Cowboy an error message or do not support the engine, please contact Cowboy or a specialist. A maintenance does not solve that.

You book online: model, address and any parts. The form shows the price and free moments before you confirm. On the day the mechanic comes to your address with the cargo bike. He works outside on the sidewalk or at another place where the bike is easily accessible. After checking out, he discusses what he has found. Additional work costs €25,00 every 30 minutes and only happens after your agreement. Afterwards, you can pay via Tikkie or an iDEAL payment link. Your next maintenance will easily be rebooked from your account.

The maintenance is done at the address you give up: at home, or at work if it is convenient. We arrive at addresses up to 6 km wide from the Rijksmuseum. Within 3 km of the Rijksmuseum, the normal price applies, from 3 to 6 km a travel fee is added. Addresses beyond 6 km and in Amsterdam-Noord we cannot schedule.
