My name is Tim Spaargaren.

My background is in social sciences, but I always prefer to work on my hands.

As long as I live in Amsterdam, I ride e-bikes. I love everything about it - the freedom, the speed, the way they change how you move through a city. For five years I worked as an official Cowboy partner, where I repaired bikes all over Amsterdam. Engines, brakes, complete revisions - I did it all.

But the more I worked on e-bikes, the more I saw the same problem. If something breaks, people get stuck. Long waiting times, vague communication and prices that appear to be made up on the spot. The bikes themselves are great. Their experience doesn't allow them to fix.

That's why I started OnTheRoad. Good service, on time, at the door. No shop, no waiting room, no surprising invoice. Just friendly, honest help that is really easy.

Over the years I've driven more than 50,000 km myself. I know how it feels when your bike isn't there - and how good it feels to have it back.
