OnTheRoad specialises in Cowboy - every generation (C2, C3, Classic/C4, Cruiser, Cruiser ST and Cross). The mechanic comes to your home with the common Cowboy parts on board: tires, brake pads and belts. You book online at ontheroadbikes.com/book.
OnTheRoad is an official Tenways service partner for the CGO series (CGO600, CGO600 Pro, CGO800S, CGO009). Tires, brakes and maintenance services happen at your door in Amsterdam - no need to bring your bike anywhere.
We come to your door for VanMoof tires, brakes and maintenance - especially useful now that official VanMoof service is hard to find. Electronics and brand-specific repairs are deliberately not something we do ourselves; for those we honestly refer you to our partner shops.
Yes. For Veloretti (Ace and Ivy) we do tires and maintenance services at your door in Amsterdam.
Yes - for these brands we do brake pads, tires and basic maintenance at your door. Their brake pads and 28-inch tires are standard stock for us.
We do. An OnTheRoad mechanic comes to your home or office in Amsterdam and replaces the inner or outer tire on the spot, usually within 30 minutes. Often same-day or next-day - your bike never has to leave the door.
At your door, by us. We carry the right 27.5-inch tires and inner tubes for the common Cowboy models as standard stock - from grip tire to slick - and replace them on the spot, often same-day.
We do it at your door, as an official Tenways service partner. We carry the confirmed 700C size that fits the CGO series exactly, plus the matching inner tubes. You book online and the mechanic fits everything at the door.
We fix that at your door too. Official VanMoof tires no longer exist, but we fit a very similar custom-fit tire that suits every VanMoof model - replaced on the spot, usually within 30 minutes.
OnTheRoad replaces brake pads at your door. We stock the right pads for Cowboy, Tenways and the common 28-inch brands, and check the rest of your brakes at every appointment too.
No. OnTheRoad is a mobile workshop: the mechanic comes to you, at home or at work. During the service we inspect, adjust and lubricate everything. You pay after the appointment.
€45,00 all-in in central Amsterdam and €60,00 within the ring (3-6 km from the centre) - call-out and VAT included. You pay after the appointment, not upfront.
€57,50 in total in the city centre: a €45,00 service visit at your door plus €12,50 per new inner tube, fitting and VAT included. A new outer tire costs €39,00 to €45,00 per tire, fitted.
€24,00 per side, on top of the €45,00 service visit. Both sides come to €93,00 in total at your door, VAT included.
€29,00 per side (Cowboy C4 and Cruiser among others) on top of the €45,00 service visit - both brakes €103,00 in total. A spongy brake lever is the tell-tale sign.
OnTheRoad works fully mobile: you pick a time slot online (booking is possible up to 1 hour ahead) and the mechanic is at your door at the chosen time. No shop visit, no queue, no hauling your bike around.
We repair at the door up to roughly 6 km from the Amsterdam city centre: Centrum, De Pijp, Oud-Zuid, Oud-West, Oost (Indische Buurt, Dapperbuurt), Westerpark, Bos en Lommer, Rivierenbuurt and the Zuidas. IJburg and Noord above the canal fall outside the area.
There is usually a spot within 1-2 days, regularly even same-day. You book online at ontheroadbikes.com/book and pick your own time slot; booking is possible up to 1 hour ahead.
Yes - cancelling or rescheduling is always free, via your account on the site. We do ask you to let us know at least 24 hours ahead, so we can offer the slot to someone else.
Yes - through Backontheroad (ontheroadbikes.com/tweedehands) we sell inspected second-hand e-bikes, and you can sell your own e-bike too. Every bike gets an honest condition check by our mechanics.
