Mobile bike mechanic in Amsterdam - no schlepping your bike to a shop
Flat tire on the road or at your door? OnTheRoadBikes rolls up by cargo bike, swaps your inner tube on the spot, and you ride off in ~20 minutes. Every bike brand - Cowboy, Tenways, Veloretti, VanMoof, or a regular Dutch city bike. No carrying, no week-long workshop queues.
What it costs
Standard: €20 travel + €25 labour + new inner tube. A regular Dutch 28" Schrader/Presta tube runs €8-€12. Specific sizes (Cowboy 27.5", Tenways 700C) cost a little more. Most customers pay €60-€75 total for a flat-tire fix at their door - all clear upfront, no surprises after.
How fast can we come?
Usually same day, definitely within 24h. Book online (30 seconds) or WhatsApp us with your location and bike type. For emergencies (stranded somewhere with a flat) WhatsApp +31 6 42 66 49 36 directly.
Bikes we work on
Every e-bike brand: Cowboy (C2, C3, C4, Classic, Cruiser, Cruiser ST), Tenways (CGO600, CGO800S, CGO009), Veloretti (Ace One, Ace Two, Ivy Two), VanMoof. Also regular Dutch city bikes, oma-fietsen, kids bikes. A flat is a flat — same procedure for any bike.
Amsterdam service area
We ride within ~3.8 km of the Rijksmuseum: Centrum, Jordaan, Westerpark, Oud-West, Vondelpark, Museumkwartier, Oud-Zuid, De Pijp, Rivierenbuurt and Buitenveldert noord. Outside that? WhatsApp us — often we can sort something.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a tire repair at home take?+
About 20 minutes for a standard inner-tube swap. Slightly longer if the outer tyre is shot too (~30 min) or for an e-bike where the rear wheel comes off to access the hub motor (~40 min).
Do I have to be home?+
Not necessarily. If the bike is locked outside and we can reach it, we'll do the work and send you a Tikkie. For e-bikes inside or in a basement we do need you there for access.
What if the outer tyre is dead too?+
We replace both. Standard sizes are in the van. For exotic sizes we book a second visit once the part's in - no extra travel charge for that second trip.
Can I pay by Tikkie or cash?+
Yes - we send a Tikkie after the service. Cash also fine. No iDEAL/card reader needed.
