- Cowboy C2 - first generation, soft brakes and the BMS connector are the usual suspects - Cowboy C3 - mid-generation; the rear-housing and torque-sensor connector are well-known weak points - Cowboy C4 - newest generation, SunRace brakes that need bleeding, frame recall on the ST Edition MR - Cowboy Classic - older mechanics, more frequent bleeds, cowling sealing - Cruiser / Cruiser ST - step-through frame, sagging seat post and squeaky bottom bracket are common - Cross / Cross ST - longer belt life, different geometry

What we fix on-site

Our van carries: brake pads and discs, mineral oil for bleeds, tyres and inner tubes, basic belt and chain tools, dielectric grease for connector reseats, cleaning supplies, torque tools. That covers ~80% of bike issues without a workshop visit.

We ride within roughly a 3 km radius of the Rijksmuseum: Centrum, Jordaan, Westerpark, Oud-West, Vondelpark, Museumkwartier, Oud-Zuid, De Pijp, Rivierenbuurt and Buitenveldert noord. Outside that area? Send us a WhatsApp - we can often work something out.

How quickly can you come?+

Often the same week. For urgent situations - bike won't start, you need it for work - WhatsApp us at +31 6 42 66 49 36 and we'll find a slot.

My Cowboy app says the motor cuts out - what is it?+

On C2/C3 it's almost always the corroding torque-sensor connector at the rear. We clean it, dielectric grease the contacts, and the problem usually goes away. On C4 it could also be firmware 4.21.0 (lock + unlock helps temporarily; rolling back firmware fixes it long-term).

I left my Cowboy outside and now it doesn't power on - is it dead?+

Not necessarily. Lithium-ion batteries can refuse to wake up after sitting flat for weeks (deep-discharge bricking). Sometimes a trickle-charge brings them back; sometimes the battery has to go. We come check before drawing conclusions.
